After a long day travelling our bellies were starting to rumble and the wine was calling us so, after a quick trip to Lafayette to admire the ceiling and the Chanel, we went back to the hotel for dinner then I crashed out on my camp bed for the night.

Paris: Day 1
Early Monday afternoon we boarded the Eurostar from St Pancras, 2 hours (and 2 episodes of Big Fat Gypsy Weddings) later we arrived at Gard du Nord. We braved the metro and soon arrived at our 'boutique' hotel in Villiers, where our 'family' room consisted of a double bed and a small camp bed crammed into the corner. We quickly freshened up then headed back to the metro and went on to Anvers where we spent a short time admiring the Sacre Coeur whilst getting harassed by looky-looky men (does anyone else call them this?). We roamed the streets, watched some of the artists create their masterpieces then somehow ended up in the sex shop district (oops) and stumbled upon the Moulin Rouge (love that the film).
